This Lilburn house was in dire need of a complete overhaul. The siding of this classically beautiful home had faded over time, giving it a worn down look that we were absolutely ready to revamp.
Given that the siding of this home is cedarwood, it has excellent resistance to rot, bacteria, fungi and mildew. This makes it a much tougher wood that is less prone to problems. Cedar siding also resists splitting, swelling and bending. To give this home a brand new look, we hand scrubbed away all the dirt and grime from the surface of the siding to make sure that the stain we chose would set into the wooden siding properly.
We used Sherwin-Williams woodscape stain which enhances the appearance and texture of the wood to provide great curb appeal. This particular stain is a thick formula that makes for a uniform finish, but also penetrates deep into the wood to resist peeling and cracking. This stain also resists mildew and mold as well.
The front door was also in need of restoration, so we sanded down the rough edges and used the same type of stain to coat the front door. The results speak for themselves, completing this exterior painting job with amazing results!
